AcornSet is an application that helps you record workouts, manage workout plans, and view workout statistics. It is provided by the operating entity identified above (the “Company,” “we,” or “us”). This Policy explains how information is handled when you use AcornSet and applies to the current iOS and iPadOS applications. Information handling by external websites and Apple services is governed by their own rules.
The current version does not require an AcornSet account. Workout data is stored mainly on your device, is not synchronized through AcornSet’s iCloud or CloudKit features, and is not automatically uploaded by the App to our servers. Purchases and restoration of purchases still use Apple’s services.
| Information type | Specific information | Purpose and processing |
|---|---|---|
| Workout records | Exercises, workout dates, sets, weight, repetitions, duration, rate of perceived exertion (RPE), and similar information that you enter | Stored locally on your device for workout records, history review, and statistical analysis |
| Workout plans | Plan names, target body parts, exercise combinations, target set counts, and related settings | Stored locally on your device to create, edit, and carry out workout plans |
| Preferences and app status | Weight units, guidance-completion status, prompt-display status, and similar settings | Stored locally on your device to retain settings and improve the user experience |
| Purchase entitlements | Product identifiers returned by Apple, transaction-verification results, purchase or subscription validity status, and locally cached entitlement status | Used to confirm, unlock, and restore paid features; the current App does not send this transaction information to a server operated by us |
| Feedback you voluntarily send | Contact email address, feedback, and screenshots or error information that you voluntarily attach | Received only when you contact us, and used to respond and investigate issues |
The data model may also store weight, workout notes, and similar fields. These are stored only when the relevant feature is actually provided and you enter the information; they are not required to use the App. Please do not enter identity, financial, or other sensitive information unrelated to the feature in plan names, notes, or feedback.
Workout records, weight, and similar information may constitute sensitive personal information when they can be linked to an individual and reflect health conditions. Local processing of this information is intended to display your own workout records and trends, not to make medical judgments, serve advertising, or disclose the information to other users. Disclosure could reveal your exercise habits or health-related circumstances, so please protect your device and exported images appropriately. Where the law requires separate consent, we will obtain that separate consent before the relevant processing; this Policy does not replace separate authorization.
The current version does not provide AcornSet account login, HealthKit data access, advertising tracking, third-party behavioral analytics, or cloud synchronization of workout data. It also does not proactively request access to your contacts, location, camera, or microphone.
When you actively choose to save a workout summary image, the App requests the system’s “Add Photos Only” permission and writes the locally generated image to your photo library. This permission is not used to browse or read photos that you already have.
Denying permission affects only the ability to save images and does not affect workout records or statistics. You can adjust AcornSet’s photo permission in the system Settings.
Images saved to your photo library may contain exercise movements, dates, and workout metrics. They are managed independently by the system photo library and will not be automatically deleted when you delete workout records in the App or uninstall the App. If you send or publish an image through another app, the recipient or service will process it under its own rules; please first check whether the image contains information you do not want to disclose.
Apple App Store / StoreKit: Used to query products, make purchases, verify entitlements, restore purchases, and manage subscriptions. Apple processes Apple account, payment, and transaction information under its own rules; AcornSet does not obtain your Apple account password or complete bank-card information. Apple returns to the App the information needed to confirm entitlements, which the App uses locally. See the Apple Privacy Policy.
SDWebImage / SDWebImageSwiftUI: Currently used to display local animated resources included with the application package. They are not used to load remote user images, and under the current implementation the components do not proactively upload your workout data to their developers.
The current App does not have a self-operated remote logging upload function. The system and purchase components may generate diagnostic information; whether you share analytics information with Apple depends on your system settings. If you voluntarily send diagnostic materials to us, we will use them only to address the relevant issue. We recommend removing personal information unrelated to the issue first.
When you open the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, or another external webpage, the relevant website may process network information needed for access, such as your IP address. The website’s information handling is governed by the rules it actually publishes; the App will not automatically attach your workout records merely because you open a webpage.
Workout records, plans, and preferences are stored in the App’s storage space on your device for you to continue viewing them until you delete the relevant data or delete the App. We do not have a server copy of this local workout data and cannot remotely read or restore it for you.
Not enabling iCloud synchronization inside the App does not necessarily mean that system backups exclude App data. Depending on your device settings, system backups, device migration, or cloud photo services may retain relevant content. Their storage locations, retention, and deletion are controlled by the relevant Apple services and your settings.
Feedback materials that you voluntarily send to us are retained only while we handle your request and any necessary follow-up communication. They are deleted or anonymized once the purpose is completed, except where retention is required by law. Apple retains purchase records under its own rules, and the local entitlement cache is updated based on verification results.
